Sam Pittorino, from Cannon Hill Anglican College, is heading to Singapore and Malaysia this month as part of the Queensland Volleyball team. He was selected as team captain and led the team to victory, returning as winners of the International Championships after 10 days of competition.

He also competed in Darwin’s Arafura Games earlier this year and was selected for the Australian Beach Volleyball and Australian Indoor Volleyball teams. This is a significant achievement only offered to the players in the Australian Junior Men’s Development Program.

Sam, who has been part of The Associated Schools volleyball since year 7, was later awarded the Ash Singh Memorial Shield at Cannon Hill Anglican College for his contribution and high level of performance in volleyball.
